The channel targeted towards African American adults counts 43 million subscribers, and according to prez Johnathan Rodgers, has always planned for HD but wanted to wait to "make sure our primary channel was well received and on firm footing." No word on which programming will be native HD on the new station or who will carry it, but having beaten BET to the HD punch, it will be interesting to see how this network fills the time. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see Daybreak in its entirety in high definition.
