We've decided to celebrate our birthday on July 4th (that's right, we're giving you a day off of work to celebrate HD Beat). It's been a great year of high-def news, from <a href="http://www.hdbeat.com/search/?q=easter+eggs">easter eggs</a> to <a href="http://www.hdbeat.com/2006/06/01/entourage-720p-trailer-on-xbox-live-marketplace-season-3-hd/">Entourage</a>, from <a href="http://www.hdbeat.com/search/?q=1080p">1080p</a> to <a href="http://www.hdbeat.com/2005/08/16/ultra-high-definition-video/">Ultra HD</a>, and we look forward to giving you even more in the next year. We'd like to thank our friend Kevin who brought us all to HD Beat, and of course you our readers and commenters.<br /><br />We'll recount a few of our favorite (and least-favorite) HD stories from the past year and we invite all to contribute in the comments.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/04/happy-birthday-hd-beat/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Happy Birthday HD Beat!</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/04/happy-birthday-hd-beat/">Happy Birthday HD Beat!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 04 Jul 2006 15:07:00 EST.
